September is here, and that can only mean two things: If
you are reading this blog in Europe, you are probably welcoming autumn in your
life, brown, burgundy and safari colors may be back into your wardrobe because
this lovely season has arrived!
And secondly and most important, It’s time to get your
old camel satchel and fill it with some colorful markers, some pens and some
books because you are probably getting back to school, college or uni.
Going back to school can be a pretty nerve rocking
thing, add the need to cause a good first impression and not having planned out
a thing till the night before.
Luckily, I’ve come up with 1 super easy make up look
for you to look natural but at the same time a bit sophisticated.
Hope you enjoy!
First of all, make sure you clean and moisturize your
skin before applying any make up. Make up can make wonders on your skin but you
must protect it and keep it hydrated. Moisturizer will also make your make up
last even longer and keep it all in place.
Starting off with foundation (if you have nice skin
you should be fine with just a bit of concealer to cover a few spots or
redness, but I like to even my skin tone. Whatever Works for you). I use Max
Factor Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 Foundation in color Sand. I totally recommend it if you don’t want to
spend more time applying concealer and primer, this foundation has all of them
in this foundation if you want a product that is really a Primer, Concealer and foundation all in one. It really saves a huge amount of time; it doesn’t look cakey and lasts
forever. It’s definitely one of my favorite drugstore products.
Make sure you blend that nicely, before setting it off
with powder. (Rimmel London STAY MATTE powder in color 006 warm beige).
I always like to apply some bronzer to bring back a
bit of color into my face. Suck in your cheeks and apply the product along the
line it forms when you do that fish face ;).
Blend it nicely till you get the result you want.
I chose to apply some blush in a pinky-peachy tone,
mine is from Bobbi Brown in the color Maui but you can use whichever brand you
like, the blush is just to give to my cheeks a healthy natural color.
Brows can make such a huge difference; I filled mines
in with a matte dark brown eye shadow from KIKO.
For the eyes, I chose a champagne with a shade of
pink, shimmery eye shadow from the Naked 3 palette I recently got. (For the
crease I used the color Trick, and added a lighter shade called Strange, for
the inner corner of my eyes to make it pop).
Create a fine line with your favorite liquid eyeliner
(I used MAC superslick liquid eye liner in the color On The Hunt) and use mascara
to give your look a final end.
For my lips I just wear regular lip balm (The one I’m
wearing in the pic is Rouge Coco in the color Baume from Chanel) but you can
use your regular Vaseline that you can buy at your nearest drugstore or you can
simply go for any BabyLips by Maybelline lip bars which really moisturize your
lips throughout the day.
And done! You are ready to go, I promise this doesn’t
take more than 10 minutes and it’s as easy as it looks.
Much Love,
Paloma.
